MADE TO MOVE

🏃‍♀️ Last Month’s Challenge Recap

In October, we dared ourselves to move every single day — no matter how small the effort.
Running, swimming, dancing, lifting — it didn’t matter what we did, only that we showed up.

Bernie started his challenge on October 2nd so he didn’t wrap it up until November 1st.
Honestly? It was tougher than expected. Bernie went into detail about his workout routine last week on The Drop so check it out when you get the chance.

Our days felt full — too full sometimes — but we kept going. We did what we could, however small, to keep that promise to ourselves.

And that’s the point: it’s not about perfection, it’s about presence.

We hope by the end of this challenge that the small progress you made every day helped build momentum to keep you moving. We hope it helped you form habits strong enough to carry into the next year — habits that remind you what you’re capable of. But most of all we hope that this challenge helped you find a new kind of confidence — the kind that comes from simply showing up for yourself, one day at a time.

📵 November Challenge: Step Away to Step Forward

This month, the challenge is simple — but not easy:
Step away from your phone.

In today’s world, that might be one of the hardest things to do.

Phones and technology are incredible tools. They connect us, inspire us, and help us create. But somewhere along the way, they also started to control us. The tool became the tether.

We’ve become so used to constant connection that we’ve lost touch with ourselves.
We reach for our phones before we reach for our thoughts. We scroll instead of simply looking around. We choose stimulation over stillness.

🌿 Slowing Down to Notice More

Life with phones moves fast — notifications, updates, endless noise.
If something isn’t instant, we move on.

Sandra and I grew up in a time that moved slower. When you had to call your friends to talk. When boredom wasn’t a curse, it was a gateway.
Boredom meant creativity. Exploration. Imagination.

Now, it feels like everyone’s trying to escape it — as if stillness itself is uncomfortable.
But maybe boredom was never the problem. Maybe it was our greatest freedom.

🔒 How to Take the Challenge

You can design this one to fit your lifestyle:

  • Cut your screen time by 1–2 hours each day.

  • Set a phone curfew: power down after 8PM and leave it off until 8AM.

  • Try a 24-hour phone fast once a week — one full day without checking your phone.

  • Call instead of text — reconnect with people in a real, human way.

It doesn’t have to be extreme. The goal isn’t to reject technology — it’s to reclaim control.

This isn’t about demonizing our devices. It’s about rediscovering what it feels like to be fully present.
To let your thoughts breathe.
To give your imagination space again.
To be human — without a screen between you and the world.

Dare to disconnect.
Reconnect with yourself.
This month, move with intention — not notifications.

☃️ Your Winter Arc

Just a reminder — this is still part of our winter arc.

Just like we prepare our bodies, we also need to prepare our minds.
Being on our phones all the time can clutter our thoughts, and relying on them too much can limit the way we think.

So this month, let’s take a step back together — slow down, clear the noise, and reconnect with our own rhythm.

Let’s give our minds the same care and attention we give our bodies.
